Description
Research agency "In-Stat" predicts robust market growth for System-on-Chips (SoCs), estimating that volumes will increase an average of 31% a year and will reach 1.3 billion units in 2004. Today SoCs are widely used in the computer, communications and consumer electronics appliances - mobile phones, PDAs, laptops, DTVs, and other devices. This is the beginning of the SoC era. The CIC-900 ARM9 Start Kit is equipped with Samsung's S3C2500 16/32-bit RISC microcontroller which is based on an ARM9 CPU core and is a costeffective, high-performance microcontroller solution for Ethernet-based systems, for example, SOHO router, internet gateway, WLAN AP, etc.. The CIC-900 ARM9 Start Kit is designed for the beginner who is intended to study the architecture and operation of the System-on-Chip devices, and to design the applications using this new and exciting technology. It can also be used as a lab course for undergraduate and master students of computer science, computer engineering and electrical engineering.
